Below are the few of the images that I took during the photoshoot I carried out for my Magazine Paper Aeroplane. The shoot itself was quite interesting when I carried it out, this is because of many complications that took place, such as, being double booked and my camera dying on me mid-way shoot. However, at the end of the shoot, I got quite a few images that I really liked and I will be using them in my magazine.
As already said, my magazine is an indie rock, pop genre. As to why I tried to put my model in an costume which represents that well, even though the outfit it pretty basic, most indie outfits consist of baggy, oversized clothing, layers and dark colours. This is why I went with an oversized denim jacket, a dark red flannel and a basic white t-shirt as base. Later on, I added a dark blue and white scarf.
You can very clearly tell that I have added make-up on my model. This is only to match the theme of the magazine more. Therefore, I added eyeliner on my model, which I intended on making messy, and it smudged itself so I was happy with that as it created a careless effect. Along with that I contoured the hollows of my models cheek to create a dark and gloomy look followed by some highlight on his cheeks, to create a flow. This all created a gloomy, and serious effect which I think goes well with my theme.
